Traditionally the club holds a portrait "Inning" (rather than Outing) in February. We will do the same this year, but with a twist. The subject of the month will be portraiture for magazine covers, and there will be a guest speaker at the Feb. 9 meeting. On Saturday Feb. 13 we have arranged to use space at the former Goodwill store on Walnut Street and have planned for a number of models prepared to help us practice what we learn at the previous Tuesday meeting. The space is open and large, with many unique alternative shooting locations. We should have no problem accomodating up to 25 club members or guests who wish to attend the outing -er inning.

Photographers should start to build their set-ups shortly after 8AM. Models will arrive about 10AM. Wrap up will likely be around 3PM, but we have the space until 8PM if magic is happening and some attendees wish to continue into the evening.

This promises to be a lot of fun!

The next weekday morning ad-hoc outing will take place on Thursday February 18, 2010 at 9:00 AM. Meet at the DazBog coffee shop at Cherry and Mason. This year we plan to have some additional structure to these outings, with a list of alternatives from which to choose. Of course, if it is too cold to venture outside, there is always the alternative to stay at DazBog, enjoy another cup of Joe, and talk about digital photography.
